The energy transition is here

By the end of this decade, the core renewable technologies will all dominate sales in their respective areas.

Once renewable technologies dominate sales, it is simply a matter of time and depreciation of the old system before they dominate the energy sector and energy investment stocks. But it’s time we don’t have.

The IEA says that we need to triple our global renewable capacity by 2030 if we are to stay within safe climate boundaries. And while renewables are accelerating in some places, other countries are struggling to find the investment or technical expertise and shift policies in time.

The energy transition requires massive political will to change, which requires massive public support. And right now the public still hears the wrong story about renewables.
